30 day shred - how much space do you need?

Is anyone doing the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred? How much space do you need for the workouts? Also, what size weight do you use?

I just got cleared to start exercising again at my 6 week pp appointment today, but I have no idea when or how I would make it to the gym with all the feeding issues we're having, so I'd like something I can do at home until I can get back to the gym. Our living room is quite small, though, and I want to make sure I have enough space before buying the DVD and weights. TIA!

  • All the info above. I started out with 2lb weights.

  • Its a great short work-out. I'll be starting back into it when I'm cleared in a couple weeks. I had been doing p90x when I got PG so I figured 30-day Shred would help me get back into working out.
  • Yep it's a great workout. However, postpartum jumping jacks made me pee my pants. :) good luck with your workout!
  • I just do it in my living room. I use size 8 weights.

  • For those doing it - have you noticed a difference? Be it in weight, toning, cardiovascular, etc? And do you find it a good "first pp workout"? I was doing some high intensity work outs before getting pg - but did nothing more intense than walking my entire pregnancy. I'm curious to see just how out of shape my body is now.

I did it 2 years ago and lost 40 lbs. (with a strict diet). It's a great workout that allows you to build your endurance. I just started it again so we will see the results I get this time!

I noticed a small difference in weight and a big difference in toning and cardio. I thought it was an awesome first pp workout because its in the privacy of your own home, quick 30 minutes so it can easily be done around a fussy baby, and offers beginner versions of each exercise. I loved it and will go back and do it again in a couple months.

This! I loved it. I lost inches for sure.
